Marcela Rodrigues is an education reporter at the Boston Globe.

Previously, she was a reporter at the Dallas Morning News, where her coverage of the Texas DEI ban won a 2023 Education Writers Association National Award for Education Reporting.

As a stringer for the New York Times, Rodrigues contributed reporting to an investigation on Hasidic private schools that won a 2022 George Polk Award in education reporting.

Previously, she reported for the Chronicle of Higher Education and Chalkbeat.

A graduate of Smith College and Columbia Journalism School, she speaks Portuguese and Spanish. She’s been a fellow with the Pulitzer Center and the Education Writers Association.
